We always find some lovely surprises at the Morton Refuge. On this beautiful Mother's Day we were astounded at the large number of turtles and frogs in the small pond (not shown in this picture). This photo is of a small woodland stream with some luxuriant new growth on its banks that presented a nice contrast with the sunny field of tall grasses in the background.
